sometimes i drink.
sometimes i am drunk.
sometimes i am drunk because i drank too much.
if i drink too many drinks, i will get drunk because i drank too much.
so..."drink" can be a noun or a verb.
"drank" is the past form of the verb "drink"
of course, this is not from first hand experience.
